How we helped a leading healthcare provider Enhance Productivity, Accuracy and User Experience with Athena GL Integration for accounting purposes & monthly reporting.


Introduction:

In the healthcare industry, accurate booking of GL entries for revenue generation, contractual entries & bad debts is critical for providing accurate and timely reporting and projections. Our client (A leading Healthcare Provider from the North American Region) faced the challenge of streamlining accurate booking of GL entries for revenue generation, contractual entries & bad debts. This was managed with MS Excel leading to errors leading to confusion & miscommunication and rework and a lot of non-value-added time spent on manual work with Excel sheets. Recognizing the need for a more efficient solution, our technical team embarked on developing a novel approach by developing an application with Azure Data Factory, Dataverse to fetch data from Athena/Snowflakes & pushing final calculated data to respective GL accounts in Navision 2018.

Challenge:

The existing process involved manual data calculation, adjustments and comparison, leading to inefficiencies and the potential for errors. Healthcare professionals were spending valuable time navigating between the Excel Sheets, impacting productivity and increasing the risk of inaccuracies which is not acceptable from accounting perspective & respective GL entries.

Solution:

To address these challenges, our technical team designed and developed an application using Azure Data Factory, Dataverse to fetch data from Athena/Snowflakes that seamlessly helped in pushing final calculated data to respective GL accounts in Navision 2018 accurately. This innovative solution allows healthcare professionals to access relevant accounting GL entries within their context accurately , eliminating the need for manual work.
